All About Donna

Most of us get all three.  I know I’ve certainly had opportunities –  I had the good fortune of being raised in a loving family, I had the opportunities for personal growth through careers and educational experiences, family, adventures, travel and recreational activities.  But, I’ve also had my share of stress, pain and challenges such as; marriages, children, betrayal, divorce, moves, unemployment, career changes, trauma, car accidents, injuries, surgery, loss, death of loved ones and a health scare.

The negative emotions associated with some experiences left me feeling overwhelmed, anxious, angry, resentful, fearful, in physical pain, and sad.  I tried trending coping strategies that improved things for awhile, but the negative emotions resurfaced when similar scenarios triggered them again.

Worst still, I’d revert back to my go-to coping strategies – bury my emotions, eat poorly, blame myself, feel stuck, try harder… and think to myself, “There’s nothing I can do, things could be worse, that’s just the way it is.”

Not very helpful in creating lasting positive change I must admit!

"Everybody gets something – opportunities, challenges and pain. "

I knew that all this negative baggage was taking its toll.  My weight fluctuated, I endured chronic neck and back pain, fatigue and finally suffered a health scare.  I knew I needed to find a better solution to manage my negative emotions.

And out of the blue, a friend sent me information about Emotional Freedom Technique. I was curious but skeptical ‘cause it sounded interesting, but looked weird and seemed way too easy to be effective.

But I tried it… again and again and again. And every time, the results were the same.  I’d ride through thoughts and emotions then finish a session feeling calm, yet energized. I would intuitively know what steps to take and have the confidence to take them.  I was no longer triggered by people, issues or memories and was experiencing greater joy in my life. I was amazed!   And, I absolutely knew that others deserved and needed to know about EFT too.

So building upon my Bachelor of Education and Honours Psychology degrees as well as skills developed through careers in health care, finance and education, I completed the Certification and Accreditation requirements through EFT International and began sharing this revolutionary approach with others.

I love how the emotional freedom from life’s baggage leaves me healthy, active and energized to enjoy all my favourite things.  So when I’m not guiding and supporting clients in their quest for creating positive change, peace, joy and health, you’ll find me enjoying family, friends and fur babies, seasonal recreational activities, cottage time and travel.  Life is good…very good!
